My idea to start up this blog came about when I used to travel and wanted to really see the uniqueness that each place had to offer. I always wanted to pack in as much as possible in the short time that I was visiting and I didn’t want to miss a chance for a unique special event. I used google and read travel magazines and found the right places to get the information that I needed but this took time.
I started to write a blog awhile ago and structured it in a way that I found inspiring from two Vancouver bloggers that I followed. Mashed Thoughts and Miss604. They combined events together in one blog post for every weekend. Each time I went to the city, I planned my activities around their blogs. One of my early blog discoveries was that John Cleese was going to be at Chapters in Downtown Vancouver to do a book signing. I drove straight from the ferry, rushed out of the car, and got in line just in time before they closed to receive a signed copy of his book; So Anyway. I never would have found out about this event, had I not come across these great bloggers!
Work and life commitments gradually got in the way of me achieving this goal on a consistent basis. I’ve now taken up my dream once again. I hope that you will help me see success by subscribing and sharing my blog and that you will find it useful when planning your weekends in the Comox Valley.
